The University of Texas Advanced Computing Center is hosting two different camps this summer. Both involve students working in projects in which you would design, build, and test something that integrates sensors in the design with the software necessary to read those sensor and make decisions about an action to take. For example, your phone may limit your texting abilities based on the sensors "telling it" that you are in a moving car (Drive Mode). Click on the links below to get more information and to apply to attend either of the day-camps, if you are interested.
Wearables Camp - June 19-23 - Cost:$550. Build a piece of wearable technology and integrate with software to make it functional.
DesignSafe Camp - June 26-30 - Cost Free. Solve a problem in our nation's infrastructure to prevent natural hazards from becoming natural disasters by integrating hardware design with software.
You must apply to either camp by May 12, and space is limited.
