Bonjour, tout le monde!

It's great to be back teaching at Warrior Nation!  I am entering my sixteenth year of teaching overall and look forward to teaching the language that I love.  My hometown is Arlington, Texas, where I earned my BA at UT-Arlington in French, English, and Secondary Education. I also have completed graduate work in French at both UT-Arlington and University of North Texas. I spent the first 10 years of my career teaching all levels of  French and English at Carter Junior High and Sam Houston High School. (Class of '82!  Go Big Sam!)   I was honored to be selected by my principal and the superintendent to pilot a program for Distance-Learning French for elementary students in 1994, the highlight of my career!  The innovative technology at the time enabled me to teach two classes at the same time, one at my home school, SHHS, and the other at Arlington High School.  Who knew I'd ever be on TV?

After moving to Round Rock, I was fortunate to further my career at Westwood High School for a year and a half until I chose to be at home to raise my daughter and son. In 2015, I became a substitute for RRISD and completed two long-term sub jobs in French, and when this current position at Westwood became available, I jumped on it!  Westwood has and continues to be one of the top schools in the country, and I am excited to be back!

I am most proud of my beautiful family.  My husband, Brad, is a graduate of TAMU and  has his own marketing and business development career.  My daughter, Mallory, graduated from Texas A&M's nursing program and  is employed as an RN in Houston.  My son, Collin, is a sophomore at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor.  Go Cru!  And yes!  Both kids know and have studied French.

Besides French, I love dancing (especially Zumba/Cardio dance), dark chocolate, Texas Longhorns (hook'em),  watching football, traveling, the beach, cheerleading, photography, and spending precious time with my family.  I am the Student Council Advisor,  French Club sponsor, and the coach for UIL spelling this year.

It's going to be a fantastic year!  Allez-y, Warriors!
