David Jurecka, Librarian
Stephanie Ivison, Library Assistant
This is Mr. Jurecka's 8th year as the librarian at Laurel Mountain Elementary. Previously, he was the campus ITS (Instructional Technology Specialist) at LME. He looks forward to sharing his love of reading and technology with the children.
Library Mission Statement:
The mission of the library media program is to collaborate with teachers in enriching the curriculum so that students become lifelong learners who love reading and can evaluate and efficiently use information from a variety of sources.
1. Kindergarten students may check out one book.
2. First through fifth grade students may check out three books.
3. Books may be kept for a two week period, but students are encouraged to check out more books as often as needed.
Volunteers are always appreciated! Our volunteers do a variety of tasks including: filing catalogs and magazines, helping students find books, checking in books and re-shelving, decorating display cases, etc. Volunteers are always needed for special activities such as the Book Fair and the Paperback Book Exchange. We need you! If you would like to help, please email David Jurecka at email@example.com or call 512-464-4308.
