Lions love to read!
Welcome back! Let's make 2026 a year of reading adventures.
PK will share the book Winter is Here by Kevin Henkes & Laura Dronzek. Believe it or not, winter officially started back on Sunday, December 21st.
K to 2nd grade will start building media literacy skills by analyzing commercials & advertising tricks.
Grades 3-5 will practice citing their online and print sources for research.
Students in Kinder, 1st, and 2nd grade come to the library weekly. They are asked to return their books in one week unless they would like to keep them for one extra week. Then they should be returned.
Students in Pre-K, 3rd, 4th, and 5th come to the library every two weeks. Remember: to check out new books, students must return the books they borrowed!

Don't forget that we offer almost 4,000 ebooks and digial audiobooks to students through MackinVIA. To log in, first sign into your RRISD classlink account.
Then go to Library Resources, and then finally launch MackinVIA.
