Lions love to read!

• Thank you so much for your support during our recent book fair.  On sales of almost $20,000, LME earned $3,800 in cash and over $1,200 in summer reading prizes, books pulled from the fair, and future book purchases.  Thank you for building a community of readers!

• Lessons for the 1st week of December:

  • PK to 2nd grade will kick off the giving season with Gifts from the Garbage Truck by Andrew Larsen.  We’ll also learn about reuse/recycling and take a quick look at Nelson Molina’s unique NYC museum.

  • Grades 3-5 will have a technology lesson for this year’s annual Hour of Code, which has been renamed Hour of AI. 

• Students in Kinder, 1st, and 2nd grade come to the library weekly.  They are asked to return their books in one week unless they would like to keep them for one extra week.  Then they should be returned. 

• Students in Pre-K, 3rd, 4th, and 5th come to the library every two weeks.  Remember: to check out new books, students must return the books they borrowed!
