Counselors are also available before or after school in the upper commons if you have questions or need help.

Counselor Information from Open House 23-24 

Short-term individual and crisis counseling are available as needed.  For longer-term needs, we are happy to provide families with referrals to outside professionals.

Chrissy Anderson 

Ms. Anderson came to Hopewell in 2019.  She has been a counselor for 14 years and was an elementary counselor for 10 years in Round Rock before joining our team.  Ms. Anderson taught middle school math for 6 years prior to becoming a counselor. She graduated from Sam Houston State University in 2003 and received her Master's degree in counseling in 2010 from Texas State University. Ms. Anderson became a counselor to help support students that are struggling with difficult emotions. She loves working with middle school students and helping them navigate the changes that come during the middle school years.

Ryan Smith 

This is Mr. Smith’s first year as a School Counselor at Hopewell Middle School! He has been a School Counselor now for eight years. Mr. Smith graduated with his master degree in 2015 and his bachelors in 2011. Mr. Smith enjoys being a School Counselor because of the relationships that are built with the students. One of his favorite quotes is, “Just one small positive thought in the morning can change your whole day.”

Daniela Romero

Ms. Romero is new to Hopewell this year! She was a high school counselor for six years and taught elementary school for three. Ms. Romero graduated from The University of Texas at Austin for both her Bachelor’s in 2013 and her Master’s degree in 2017. Ms. Romero loves being a Counselor because she gets to help students when navigating new situations. Her favorite quote is, “Strive for progress, not perfection.”
