Welcome to Great Oaks! I am so glad that you are here!
Below are my Vision and Mission statements. These are what direct my work as a school counselor.
All students demonstrate emotional, social, and conflict-resolution skills to be the following:
Life-long learners and kind leaders
Successful in higher education, military, career, or other contributing role in society
Partners in fulfilling, respectful, and loving relationships
Responsible, compassionate, inclusive, and engaged members of their community
The mission of the Great Oaks Elementary School's Counseling Program is to provide a comprehensive, developmental, and preventative program that addresses the academic, career, and personal/social development of all students.
GOE School Counselors are student advocates who welcome feedback and collaborate with all stakeholders to ensure equity, equal access to curriculum, and opportunities for all students to grow.
GOE School Counselors seek opportunities to learn and grow as professionals.
GOE School Counselors use data-driven strategies and research-driven techniques to ensure that all students are prepared with the knowledge, skills, and opportunities to contribute and be successful as productive and kind members of society and lifelong learners.
GOE School Counselors constantly work to build and inspire relationships amongst children, staff, and parents in creative ways so that school is a place where diversity is welcomed and everyone wants to be at there.
