Traveling and studying abroad is more education than what one can get in the classroom.  You will: 

* Make life long friends! Living and studying abroad in Germany is a great way to develop friendships that last a lifetime! 

*Improve your German! While in Germany, you will spend a couple of weeks in a German home as well as shadowing your partner at school.  This experience forces you to figure out more language. You will learn more than just classroom language, but everyday conversation language including cultural language. 

*Experience Germany as part of a family! Frau Seitz and I work to make sure we make the best matches for you, so that both the German and American students have great experience.  Your host family will treat you as their own! 

​*Visit amazing places! While in Germany we will have a few field trips to other cities and visit sights you've only seen in your textbook or on the internet. While on GAPP, the host families generally take time to show their visiting "son" or "daughter" the area as well.  Some places we've visited in prior years include:  Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Blaubeuren, Linderhof, Ulmer Münster, and others.

In the past we've taken a 2-3 day trip elsewhere (outside of Bavaria) in the middle of our stay.  Some places we've visited before include:  

• Hamburg

• Berlin

• Köln
