Bibliotherapy: This program is a collaboration between the Counselor and Librarian to target students in grades 2-5 who could benefit from the development of self-confidence and healthy concepts and strengthen relationships between participants, peers, and teachers. Students are identified through close collaboration between the Teacher, Counselor, and Librarian. The clubs meet weekly during each semester.
-We choose books that are rich with opportunities to discuss emotion management, problem-solving, fitting in, communicating your needs, and other potentially difficult facets of life. This program has enabled students to become more effective in interpersonal relationships, increasingly motivated to succeed, and inspired as confident lifelong learners.
