Introduction 3/24/2021
Hello everyone! My name is David Thornborrow and I am currently a student at Colorado State University majoring in business administration with a concentration in finance. Coming from Texas I have really been enjoying my time up here in Colorado, I really enjoy various outdoor activities such as hiking, backpacking, camping, fishing, and more. Colorado has been the perfect place for me to balance my academics, hobbies, and social life, and I can't be more glad that I came here.
For my career I am aiming to work somewhere in the field of finance. I have always found interest in learning about how money works, especially in the area of investing. Currently I am learning about different kinds of investments concerning single stocks, ETF's, mutual funds, and more. I hope to someday work as a financial planner, fund manager, investment banker, or a related occupation.
One major part of my life that has helped shape who I am today is my participation in the BSA (Boy Scouts of America) program. Boy scouts has helped me learn what kind of person I want to be through the values and life skills taught in the program. It also helped me find my passion for the outdoors, and lifelong friends who share similar beliefs as me. If you would like to see more about this you can check out the Boy Scouts page on this website.
