Sessions

From 1974 to present, the tabletop RPG hobby has been defined by Dungeons & Dragons. How has the game changed since the 70s? How has it stayed the same? Might older versions be worth looking into? D&D created the hobby, how does it continue to influence it?

Join Game Master Jeffrey Webb for a discussion of D&D from its beginnings in the wargame hobby to the modern days of streaming games and celebrity players.

Everyone has heard of Dungeons & Dragons, the swords and sorcerers game of fantasy adventure. But what other games are out there that cover additional ground? What genres are represented for adventuring?

In this panel, we'll examine games that explore horror, modern day adventure, cyberpunk dystopias, alternate realities, superhero exploits, and more. Games written for and by marginalized populations like Native Americans, Asian Americans, and the LGBTQ+ community. There's more out there than just D&D - let's explore some of the options!
