Art Contest

Submission Requirements:

• • Contestants must be students in grades K-12.

  • All artwork must be school appropriate.

  • Submissions must be a: 

    • SINGLE PAGE character depiction, OR

    • SINGLE PAGE story depiction.

  • Artwork can reflect any genre or style (e.g. manga, superheroes, alt/indie comics, etc.)  and can be digital or print creations.

  • Only ONE submission is permitted per participant/team. Participants are welcome to enter a submission as artist-writer teams, but all creators must be credited on the submission.

  • Entries must be submitted digitally and the file size may not be larger than 10 MB.

  • Each submission must be accompanied by parent/guardian permission. Participants who are at least 18 years old may sign for themselves.

  • Each submission must be the student’s own original work and idea.  It can not have been reproduced from a previously published comic, photograph, piece of art, or copyright-protected work, including the students’ own work posted on social media.

  • Each submission should have the following information in the filename: the name of the student; the name of the school; and the student’s grade level. 

  • Do not place the artist(s)' names--full or partial--on the visible portion of the artwork.
