Longhorn Choir

The list of students enrolled for choir participation will be posted on this webpage beginning  Tuesday, September 24th at 3:30pm. The list will be taken down after the first choir rehearsal.

Don't forget, our 1st rehearsal is THIS Thursday, September 26th from 2:55-4:00pm!!!

Choir Registration Information:

Thank you for your interest in joining the CRE Longhorn Choir. 

Please consider the following before committing to join:

1. Are you a 4th or 5th grader?

2. Do you love to sing?

3. Do you enjoy performing in front of others?

4. Can you commit to practicing and memorizing music outside of choir rehearsals?

5. Are you available from 2:55-4:00 pm on Thursdays to attend choir practice, starting Thursday, September 26th? (and some morning rehearsals before school, see the schedule below) 

6. Are you available to perform at our choir show on Thursday, December 5th at 7:00 pm, here at Cactus Ranch Elementary?

If you answered “YES” to the above questions, we want you to consider being part of our school choir. Here is additional information you need to know. Please keep in mind enrolling in choir is different than in previous years. 

*Choir is limited to 80 participants.

*Choir is open to any 4th and 5th grader at CRE.

*A Choir Shirt is Required, more information about the choir shirt is on the Registration Form.

***To Register for Choir, the following 3 steps are required:

1) A Vocal Interview, held during Music class. 

2) A STUDENT Choir Application, which is received at the vocal interview during Music class.

3) A Registration Form completed by a parent (The Registration Form was available from 9/18 at 7:50am to 9/20 at 3:00pm. The Registration Form is now CLOSED) 

All items (Vocal Interview, Student Choir Application & Registration Form) are DUE BY 9/20/24 by 3:00pm.

*If 80 students or less register for choir, we enroll all students. However, if more than 80 students register, school personnel will assist to select choir members. 

*The list of students enrolled in choir will be posted on this webpage on Tuesday, September 24th at 3:30pm.

Additional Information:

*Practice is Every Thursday from 2:55-4:00 pm. Only ONE unexcused absence is allowed, due to our limited rehearsal schedule.
