Hi Longhorns!  My name is Rachel Walker and I am thrilled to be one of your music teachers at Cactus Ranch Elementary.  I grew up in Round Rock ISD, graduating from Westwood HS and then attended Baylor University to receive a music education degree.  Later, I received an additional certification for Kodály pedagogy from Texas State University.  

I graduated a semester early from Baylor and started teaching right away in Round Rock ISD; teaching at Robertson Elementary, Great Oaks Elementary and currently at Cactus Ranch Elementary.  This is my 13th year at Cactus Ranch, and this school year will be my 20th year teaching elementary music!  

A little bit about myself:  I have 18 year old triplets, one boy and two girls, all attending college this year.  They attend A&M, University of North Texas and University of Texas in Dallas. I am also a Baylor fan.  I love making memories with my family by traveling, hiking, and playing board games too.  I also love being part of our Praise Band at church, enjoy crafting when I have the time and love watching the hummingbirds at my home.
