MLK Oratory Contest
For 3 years, Cactus Ranch Students have competed in the annual MLK Oratory Contest, which challenges students to write and present a short original speech on a subject related to the slain civil rights leader. Students are judged on delivery, stage presence and decorum, content interpretation, and memorization.
Annual Amazing Shake Contest
Each year, Cactus Ranch Elementary holds The Amazing Shake. It is a competitive event that teaches students manners, discipline, respect, and professional conduct. During this competition, intricate focus is placed on developing skills such as interviewing, handshaking, and remaining calm and composed under pressure. This helps prepare our students to be successful in times of opportunity in the future.
