How to talk to your kids about reading, even if you have not read the book:

• Ask about their favorite part and why

• Ask them what it made them think about and why

• Ask your child if anything that happened in the book reminds them of something that has happened in their lives

• Ask your child if there is a characters/he admires in the book

• Ask your child to design a better cover for the book and explain their thinking

• Ask your child to describe the main character using adjectives (character traits)

• Ask your child if they’d like to jump into the world in which the book is set, then explain why or why not
