We enjoyed watching the total solar eclipse together on Monday, it was total-ly awesome! ;)

We had so much fun at the Zoo seeing all the animals! Thank you to all the parent volunteers who made today possible, goodness knows I couldn't corral them all on my own! Thank y'all!

We enjoyed a wedding celebration filled with fun, dancing, treats, activities, and my most favorite of all, reading Noah the book our class made of advice on being a good husband. According to the class, he needs to give me  lots of money, be nice to me, and do lots chores! LOL!

Wedding themed Addition! Friday was filled with lots of wedding themed activities as we celebrated together before Miss Gleason's wedding next Friday!

We had such a fun Valentines Day Party! Thank you so much to all the parents who helped make it happen!

Kindergarten had a wedding for the letters Q and U to help us remember that they are together forever!

After the wedding, the kiddos enjoyed a reception with cake and juice.

We had so much fun learning about Lunar New Year traditions and cheering on our friends in the parade!

During our measurement unit in math, we had a friendly competition to see who could make the tallest tower. The winning tower was 38 inches tall!

We investigated soil outside during science.

During our weather unit in science, we made a wind sock and tested it out! Our class tried to create their own "wind" by blowing air together as a team.

We got to meet many different animals this week during the Barn Hill Preserve presentation.

We enjoyed learning how to code with Mrs. Connair! If you'd like to code with your kiddo, make sure y'all to come to STEAM night! Kindergarten will be hosting the coding mice.

The kids had a blast at the party! Thank you to all the parents who helped make this happen!

Holiday Stories with Mrs. Bamford, a CCE tradition.

We made shadow puppets to explore the sun's light energy.

We got TIED up on teamwork and made garland out of all the ribbon everyone brought. 

 Our class did so great designing, constructing, and parading their balloon creations! Thank you to all the parents who came to the first ever Kindergarten Thanksgiving Balloon Parade and cheered us on! You can watch our class parade here.

On Thursday we learned about  Veterans Day and had a very special virtual read-aloud with Olivia's dad, who served in the Navy.  

We had a busy week with Pumpkin Math and our field trip to Sweet Eats. Thank you to all the parents who helped with both of these things by either donating items or volunteering! These fun things would not be possible without y'all's help, so THANK YOU!

We used our knowledge of plant parts to place different veggies on the corresponding part of the plant.

Our class enjoyed Spooky Stories with Mrs. Bamford this week in library.

We finished off our properties of objects unit with a cracker lab, where we compared crackers color, shape, texture, and size.

We learned all about digital citizenship in the Comet Creation Cave with Mrs. Connair.

During our properties of objects unit, we went on a shape hunt in our classroom.

We took advantage of Friday morning's wonderful weather and had class outside!

We practiced counting out objects on a 15 frame with a partener.

The kiddos explored magnetism in our classroom, using their magnet wands!

We finished up our illustration unit in writing this week. Everyone is officially an illustrator!

We started our labeling unit in writing this week. The students enjoyed labeling items around our classroom and labeling their teacher. This label was one of my favorites., Boo-Yah Beans. 

We had so much fun exploring different types of movement this week! Thank you parents for all the help sending in the toys, this was a blast! We finished off our Movement Unit this week with designing our own roller coasters, featuring a few of the movements we learned about! 

We had an author visit on Monday with Lalena Fisher!

This week we have been using our senses like scientist! Wafting to use our sense of smell, and then creating a hypothesis of what we smelt. 

We used all 5 of our senses while making popcorn. We then added extra special toppings to double as our class popcorn party for filling our class jar with boo-yah beans!

On Friday, we learned about science safety and used safe practices to make play dough.

On Monday, we did a fun STEM activity after reading the story, Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, to see who could stack the most letters on their "coconut tree". One group was able to stack 18 letters on their "tree"!
