CVMS Cheer Expectations
2025-2026
• Commitment and Attendance: Cheerleaders should attend all practices, games, and events. Consistent attendance is crucial for team cohesion and performance. Cheerleaders and mascots must promote and maintain relationships with faculty, administration, student body, and work cooperatively with all school organizations and communities.
School Leadership
A. Cheerleaders and mascots are required to abide by rules and follow directions given by school authorities.
B. Cheerleaders and mascots will demonstrate determination, hard work, strength, dedication, and self-discipline.
C. Cheerleaders and mascots will strive to cooperate and be a part of a cohesive unit.
D. Cheerleaders and mascots will strive to improve themselves and others through positive interaction and accountability.
E. Cheerleaders and mascots will exhibit loyalty to the squad and demonstrate leadership, honor, and integrity.
F. Cheerleaders and mascots will demonstrate good sportsmanship and promote school spirit which will be defined by generosity and genuine concern for others.
• Behavior and Attitude: Cheerleaders are expected to display a positive attitude, good sportsmanship, and respect towards coaches, teammates, and opponents.
A. Violations of all Round Rock ISD Code of Conduct will be addressed in accordance with UIL Rank One paper work, district and campus handbooks, and administration.
B. RROC placement results in an automatic dismissal from the program.
C. Cheerleaders/Mascots are not permitted to use hazing with initiation activities related to any cheerleader organization (Round Rock ISD Policy FNCC).
D. Cheerleading squad membership may be terminated for unacceptable standards of conduct by the Head Coach and the Campus Principal or his/her designee.
E. Suspension or probation will eliminate the cheerleader/mascot from participation in performances and special events for a determined length of time.
F. Any member dismissed, removed, or resigned of his/her position in the cheer program must complete all financial obligations for non-returnable/non-refundable merchandise, and turn in all school-owned uniforms.
• Teamwork: Cooperation and support for fellow cheerleaders are essential. Working together and encouraging one another helps build team spirit.
• Skill Development: Cheerleaders should work on their cheerleading skills, including stunts, tumbling, jumps, and cheers. Continuous improvement and practice are important.
• Appearance: Cheerleaders must adhere to the dress code, including wearing the proper uniform and adhering to grooming standards.
• Academic Performance: Maintaining good grades and balancing schoolwork with cheerleading responsibilities is important.
• Health and Safety: Following safety protocols during practices and performances, and taking care of physical health to prevent injuries, is crucial.
• Responsibility: Cheerleaders should be responsible for their equipment and uniforms, as well as any assigned tasks or roles during events.
These expectations help ensure a positive and successful cheerleading experience for everyone involved. If you are unable to comply with these expectations we have no choice but to release you from the team.
