Hello! This will be my 14th year teaching second grade at Caraway. Learning new things has always been important to me and it is my goal to inspire my students to become lifelong learners as well. I grew up in the Dallas area and went to school at Trinity University in San Antonio. My husband, Jonathan, a 5 year old son named Benji, and a 2 year old son named Charlie. We also have a dog named Schubert who keeps our house covered in a light layer of dog hair. Outside of school, I love reading, hiking, baking, and trying new restaurants. I am excited for this school year and all of the things we are going to learn together!

Hello! My name is Emily Irvin and this will be my 9th year teaching 2nd grade at Caraway Elementary. I grew up in the Houston area and made my way to Austin to attend The University of Texas at Austin. Hook'em! I was lucky enough to spend my student teaching year at Caraway and continued my career here after. When I'm not teaching, I love enjoying all Austin has to offer with my husband, Craig, our 17 month old, Mac and our dog Zoey. We love to spend time with friends and family, try out new restaurants and be outside. I am excited to learn and grow with all of you!

Hi! I am so excited to start my 29th year of teaching! I came to Austin to study at UT, fell in love with the city and have never left. I met my husband Juan on a big South American adventure and we enjoy raising a family here. My daughter Lucy is a sophomore at Westwood and excited to continue theater and art studies. My son Oscar is a senior and enthusiastic trumpet player with Westwood's marching band. My family loves to travel, be silly, swim, and play with our three cats Nacho, Lady, and Mr. Bean. In my classroom I always work hard to create a safe and comfortable classroom while challenging students to do their personal best. Thank you for trusting me with your children. I look forward to a wonderful year!
