Voting: Texas students in 3rd - 5th grade who have read FIVE Bluebonnet nominated books will be eligible to vote for their favorite to win the Texas Bluebonnet Award each January!
Battle of the Bluebonnets: Round Rock ISD students who have read at least 16 of this year's Texas Bluebonnet Award books will be eligible to compete in the CCE Campus Battle of the Bluebonnets. The top two competitors will join the Canyon Creek Battle of the Bluebonnets team which will compete (virtually) against all other RRISD elementary schools in March. Battle of the Bluebonnets is set up like a quiz show with KVUE anchor, Bryan Mays, as the emcee! Students will complete multiple choice questions about all 20 books as a team.
Study tips: find quiz questions online for each book to work through. Once the CCE team is decided, there will be more information about preparation.
Here is a link to sample questions from a past battle to give you a general idea of the format.
Here is a link to the librarian Bluebonnet resources site. It has tons of resources for each book.
