Field Day and Pancake Day

We had a great time at field day! Playing games, the inflatable obstacle course and the popsicles were some of the favorites from the day! 

We have also been hard at work writing our how-to writing papers. This week was all about writing how to make pancakes so we celebrated all of our work with a pancake party!

100th Day

Turkey Trot

It was a great day for a Turkey Trot!! We worked hard and took away first place!! Way to go first graders!! 

Hot Wheels and Marble Runs

We had a great time in Science last week investigating how things move! We used hot wheels tracks, marble runs and then made our own marble runs with Legos! It was a great time to practice teamwork and cooperation and work together to make objects move in various ways. 

GLOW DAY

Applesauce!

This week we read a story titled How to Make Apple Pie and see the World. In this story, the main character has to travel all around the world to get ingredients for apple pie. We also read a non-fiction story full of facts about apples, to celebrate our learning we made applesauce together and enjoyed it at the end of the day! 

Sprinkle Kindness

Today we read a story all about sharing kindness with others. We brainstormed ways we can "sprinkle kindness" all around us and then celebrated kindness at the end of the day with sprinkle donuts! 

We've spent the first few weeks together playing games, learning more about each other, comparing our stuffed animals and having lots of fun!
