GRADES 3-5

The Texas Bluebonnet Award Program is available to all 3rd-6th grade students in the State of Texas. Each year a new list of 20 books is nominated for the award by Texas Librarians.   Students can choose to read 5 or more of the nominated titles and vote for their favorite.   In addition, RRISD hosts an annual Battle of the Bluebonnets in March and students who read 10 or more nominated titles can compete for a position on our CRE team.  Authors LOVE receiving the Texas Bluebonnet Award because students decide the winner!  Please consider participating to make an author's day!
