Pre-AP and Calendar

Pre-AP Chemistry is meant to prepare students for AP Chemistry. We do this by differentiating instruction in a variety of ways including but not limited to creating models; collaborating with peers for discourse; demonstrating mastery of content; applying the big ideas of Chemistry to problems and situations; conducting and analyzing lab procedures and understanding the lab set up; and explaining natural phenomena through writing. The rigor is high for Pre-AP and regardless of whether students plan to take AP or not, we hope students receive a good background in the content and develop skills applicable across curriculum.
