Parents ask us all the time about finding books at the right reading level for their child. Here are a few links that will help you to find the reading level of the books your kids are reading, as well as find books at appropriate levels.

Books are leveled in a variety of methods. The chart HERE will help you to find how these levels correlate. RRISD and Blackland Prairie use the Fountas and Pinnell Guided Reading levels when assessing students' reading ability.

This site allows you to search for books by title, author and keyword, as well as by reading level. Are you looking for books that are similar to a favorite pick? Scholastic also allows you to search for similar books.

The Lexile Website offers book searches by reading level. Choose your reading level or grade, areas of interest, and a list of potential titles is generated. To find a public library that has the book, use the "Worldcat" button by each title.

Common Sense media is a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to helping parents guide their children in our media-rich world.
