My name is Michael Carpio and I'm looking forward to teaching students in a positive learning environment. I am a graduate from UTSA with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and certified to teach Kinder through 6th grade. I was a paraprofessional at Anderson Mill Elementary during the 2016-2017 school year. I am proud to be a part of the IB system and its universal learning profile and attitudes.
I am forty nine years old and have been married to my lovely wife for twenty 25 years. We have two sons, my oldest is twenty four and my youngest is fifteen. My family and I are originally from El Paso, Texas and have lived in Austin since 2014. I enjoy listening to various types of music, taking walks with my wife and playing basketball with my sons. Being in a safe learning environment gives students opportunities to grow and be productive citizens. I have always used fun familiar cartoon characters such as Garfield, Snoopy, and Sponge Bob to engage students in utilizing their full potential as critical intellectual thinkers. I feel it is important to encourage students in a positive manner and look forward to making your child's instruction bright each day.
