CLUB EVENTS
Each year the Roswell Bass Club participates in at least one community or conservation project. Examples of these projects are as follows:
Casting Kids - For several years the club has held this event at the First Baptist Church of Roswell. We hold this event one evening during the week that coincides with other activities taking place at the church. The elementary age school children always look forward to this event where the club brings Zebco rod and reel combo's to cast into hoop rings. Candy and prizes are handed out for the kid's to enjoy. Sometimes a club member brings a boat for the kids to see.
Trout Hatchery - An example of a conservation project would be where the club has visited the Buford DNR Trout Hatchery and done maintenance (weed whacking and painting) to help keep the grounds in good conditions.
Boat Ramp Lane Painting - Another example of a project is when the club painted boat ramp lanes for the Forsyth County Park District at Young Deer, Charleston Park, and Six Mile Creek park boat ramps.
This year event was "Casting Kids 2024". It was absolutely priceless to see all of those smiles on their faces while they were casting and climbing the boat.
