Dear RAMS Families,

We are quickly approaching the final quarter of this year, and I am filled with an array of emotions as I realize that this school year is almost done. I am filled with sadness that we have not yet been able to meet our new 7th graders this year in person and give them the full RAMS experience, and that we have not been able to see our 8th graders grow into almost high schoolers. We have been working hard at trying to reinvent what school looks like for our students and prepare for reopening our schools in a completely different way. All the while our students continue to persevere through this, build their technology skills, grow emotionally and physically, and prove to us that their strength will get them through this. I am both heartbroken for them and amazed by their strength. We miss them in every way, and there are just no words to express my gratitude for your patience and support through this extremely trying year.

Please know that as a staff we continue to work collaboratively to see that our students are receiving the best program academically, socially and emotionally through all of this, and that we are preparing a plan to reopen when we can safely and with their best interests at heart.

I know many of you are under a great deal of stress, and I know from experience that trying to work and raise a teenager who is doing school from home is not an easy task. We are here to help and support you in any way that we can, so please reach out. Please continue carving out a few minutes each day to check in with your child, to check their grades and their progress, and ask them how they are doing. Just a few minutes a day checking in on their schoolwork will be beneficial. Communicate any concerns or questions with their teachers or any of our staff in the office. Take care of yourselves and try and find some time for you to check in on your own wellness. We can't take care of each other if we aren't taking care of ourselves.

Queridas Familias de RAMS,

Estamos acercándonos rápidamente al último cuarto de este año escolar, y estoy llena de una serie de emociones mientras me doy cuenta de que este año escolar está casi por terminar. Estoy llena de tristeza porque no hemos podido conocer a nuestros nuevos alumnos del 7mo grado este año en persona y darles la experiencia completa de RAMS, y que no hemos podido ver a nuestros alumnos del 8vo grado crecer en casi estudiantes de la preparatoria. Hemos estado trabajando duro para tratar de reinventar lo que parecerá la escuela para nuestros estudiantes y prepararnos para reabrir nuestras escuelas de una manera completamente diferente. Mientras nuestros estudiantes continúan perseverando en esto, construyen sus habilidades tecnológicas, crecen emocional y físicamente, y nos demuestran que su fuerza los llevará a través de todo esto. Estoy con el corazón destrozado por ellos y a la misma vez asombrada por la fuerza que tienen. Los echamos de menos en todos los sentidos, y no hay palabras para expresar mi gratitud por su paciencia y apoyo a través de este año extremadamente difícil.

Por favor, sepan que como personal seguimos trabajando en colaboración para ver que nuestros estudiantes están recibiendo el mejor programa académico, social y emocionalmente a través de todo esto, y que estamos preparando un plan para reabrir cuando podamos con seguridad y con sus mejores intereses en el corazón.

Sé que muchos de ustedes están sometidos a un gran estrés, y sé por experiencia que tratar de trabajar y criar a un adolescente que está haciendo la escuela desde casa no es una tarea fácil. Estamos aquí para ayudarte y apoyarte de cualquier manera que podamos, así que por favor, póngase en contacto con nosotros. Por favor, siga apartando unos minutos cada día para revisar con su hijo, para ver sus calificaciones y su progreso, y preguntarles cómo están haciendo. Solo unos minutos al día, ver sus trabajos escolares será beneficioso. Comuníquese con cualquier inquietud o pregunta a sus maestros o a cualquiera de nuestro personal en la oficina. Schedule

We have midterm week the week of March 15th-19th where students will be taking some end of quarter exams. Students will have a different schedule that week for testing.

Timeline

Quarter 3 ends on March 19th, and Quarter 4 begins on March 29th. The last day of school is scheduled for June 1st.

Please continue to check your child's grades online and reach out to teachers for concerns and questions. We will be sending out Q3 progress reports after Spring break, but you can see your child's grades online at anytime. Need help with this? Please call the office.

RAMS Virtual Library

Students can click HERE to see our RAMS Virtual Library and request a book. If they request a book by Thursday each week, it will be ready for pick up the following Monday of each week between 1 and 4pm at the RAMS Community Room.

RAMS Construction

If you have driven down Burbank Avenue recently and seen the construction on Roseland Creek Elementary campus, that will be the new site for RAMS! We will be sharing a campus with RCE and RAMS will have a brand new, 2 story building for our future RAMS students. We are so excited to have a beautiful and safe new space for our students, families and community! The project is due to be complete sometime in 2022.
