Rose Haven prides itself on being an inclusive environment serving women, children and marginalized genders.

• Rose Haven welcomes any woman, including transgender women, as well as gender identities that have been marginalized in a male-dominated society.  

• We recognize the diverse and multiple identities that each individual holds, understanding that each person experiences the world differently as a result.

• Rose Haven honors the dignity and individual choice and of each person that comes to our community. 

• We understand and recognize that our agency exists within larger systems of oppression, and we seek to dismantle those structures through embodying radical hospitality, advocacy on the individual and community levels, as well as meaningful connections to community resources.  

• We commit to providing services to those seeking our support, meeting each person where they are, through empathy and without judgment.

• As a community based agency, we seek feedback from our guests and collaborative partners to assess and inform our services and programming.

• Rose Haven commits to interrupting oppressive behaviors, practices and policies and operates under the tenets of non-violence.

• We commit to centering equity in our programming to ensure access and services are accessible to all, with a particular focus on the most vulnerable and marginalized.

• We acknowledge and value the differences in each person, and work toward to ensuring guests of Rose Haven feel recognized with a sense of belonging and acceptance.
