If a meeting moderator rejects a knock twice from the same participant, the participant will be blocked from knocking again. This means the moderator won’t see any additional knocks from that user for the duration of the existing meeting
Second, if the moderator ejects a participant, that participant will be unable to:
Rejoin the existing meeting (even if they are in-domain or on the calendar invite).
Knock to request rejoining the existing meeting.
Previously, when disruptive members were ejected from a meeting, they were able to continue disrupting the meeting by either re-joining or continuously knocking.
Note, if the moderator mistakenly ejects a participant, they can still add that participant to the meeting by manually inviting them. They can use the add person button in the people panel.
Once the teacher re-invites the student, the student can then use the link from Google Classroom to join the Google Meet.
In April of 2020 Google has integrated Google Meet into Google Classroom to better help
In general here's how it works…
For each Google Classroom you have, you can now generate a unique Google Meet link for the students in that Classroom.
The link for the Meet can be displayed on the Stream page and the Classwork page of the Classroom so you and your students can access it easily.
You can use the same Meet link over and over again anytime you want to video conference with your students.
However, the students cannot join the Meet without you, so they can't access the Meet before you are there, or rejoin the Meet after it is over and you have left.
Please be aware that the best non-Classroom way to share Google Meet with students is to use a Nickname. If you share with students via a Calendar invite, students can rejoin that Meet later using the link.
If you use a Nickname, students can NOT rejoin later.
To schedule, do NOT use the Add conference button on the calendar. Rather, let the students know when the call will happen (post in Google Classroom). Then, once you start the Hangout, email the nickname (do not post the nickname publicly) to the participants.
In a web browser, enter https://meet.google.com.
Click Join or start a meeting.
Enter a nickname. Click Continue.
Tip: You can pick any nickname and share it with other people in your organization as a fast way to all join the same meeting.
Make sure to have every student leave the Meet before the teacher leaves.
Remember to END the Meet by clicking the Hang-up button and NOT just closing the tab.
Participants (students) will not be able to re-join a meeting after the final participant has left if:
The meeting was created at meet.google.com by entering a meeting nickname in the "Join or start a meeting” field
The meeting was created in the Meet app by entering a nickname in the “Meeting code” field
