The Silver Cord Program recognizes students for their volunteerism to their communities and schools.

Students need to compile a total of 140 hours in order to be recognized on their graduation day.

The process is:

(1) Search for volunteer opportunities (Local Story City/Roland Commerce, school, state organizations, etc)

(2) Complete a Silver Cord Verification Form (Download the forms from this website)

(3) Hand in each and every form to your SEMINAR teacher. It is very wise to keep your own personal log of your volunteer hours/locations.

(4) Check with your seminar teacher every quarter to see if your hours match up with each other.

(5) Graduation day you get to wear a Silver Cord around your gown and stand and be recognized.

Scholarships are attached to volunteerism!
