Connected units will require a timeslot that reflects the total time for teaching of Science, Technologies and perhaps other literacies.

In years 5/6:

Science - 70 hours/40 weeks = 105minutes per week

Technologies - 30 hours /40 weeks = 45minutes per week (assuming Design and Technologies is used in this unit - note this is only half the allocated time - hence 30/40 rather than 60/40 ). The same time should be available to Digital Technologies.

A total time of 150 minutes for STEM could be available each week.
