The Rodman Family

Farm/Land Owners, Bob and Nancy Rodman work together to manage the needs of their property. Nancy assists with horse care, as well as landscape planning and design. Bob takes care of all the maintenance on the farm, including property maintenance and hay production.

Rodman Stables LLC owner, Yvonne Rodman-Sopata, is a 2007 graduate of William Woods University in Fulton, MO. Yvonne is one of very few Ohio trainers to hold a 4-year Bachelor of Science Degree in Equestrian Science with a concentration in Saddle Seat Riding. Throughout her college years at William Woods, Yvonne rode under the direction of Professor Gayle Lampe. During the summers, she worked for such notable horse trainers as Jim & Jenny Taylor (Memory Lane Farm), Bob Battaglia (Battaglia Farms), Brian Stewart (Lookaway Farm), and Michelle McVey (Desert Palms Equestrian Center). Yvonne has experience caring for and working around World Class Morgans and Saddlebreds. During her 20-year career, she has proven her ability as a show groom, rider, trainer, instructor, horse camp director, manager, and business owner. She has experience teaching every level of rider, from beginner to advanced, in several disciplines. She has been published in The Horsemen's Corral, and may pursue additional writing opportunities in the future.

Yvonne opened Rodman Stables LLC in January of 2009, and ran her riding program for about 9 years before taking a break to become a private barn in recent years. Yvonne has held other positions outside of the horse industry, but plans to re-open the barn to select clients in the near future. Stay tuned for updates.
