Rational for Change
The CLP Trust reviewed the suitability of their old Management Information System against the alternatives products available in the market. After a thorough evaluation, Bromcom was selected as the mot suitable product to fulfill the Trust's needs.
Although the transition at Roding Valley High transition took place in October 2025, we retained some Legacy products such as Edulink while they were still licensed for use. This was done to ease the burden of the transition. These licenses have now expired and therefore we are compelled to transition to the Bromcom Modules , such as My Child at School (MCAS) and the Bromcom Student App for Students
What is a Management Information System?
A Management Information System (MIS) is the central system that all schools use to store, manage and organise essential information.
This includes student records, attendance, timetables, assessment data and communication with families. This system underpins many of the day-to-day processes that help us to safeguard your children, ensure that our school operates efficiently, and keep you informed.
Why Bromcom?
After careful review and a rigorous due diligence process conducted by CLP Trust, Bromcom has been chosen as our new MIS because we feel that it provides the most up to date, flexible and user-friendly system that will benefit both staff and families.
Key advantages include: •
Improved communication between school and home through clearer, integrated systems.
More intuitive access to information about your child’s attendance, timetable and progress.
A reliable and efficient system, helping our school and our trust maintain accurate records and streamlined processes.
Better long-term value for money across the trust.
What will change for parents and carers?
New parent app: MCAS
The Edulink app will be replaced with a new app called My Child At School (MCAS).
This will become your main way to:
Receive messages from the school
View attendance information
Access timetable information
View reports and progress
Communicate with the school
