The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) issues electronic benefits that can be used like cash to purchase food. SNAP helps low-income working people, senior citizens, the disabled and others feed their families.
WIC Program: 1-800-522-5006
The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) provides federal grants to states for supplemental foods, health care referrals, and nutrition education for low-income pregnant, breastfeeding, and non-breastfeeding postpartum women, and to infants and children up to age 5 who are found to be at nutritional risk.

Long Island Lending a Helping Hand (LILAHH) is a food pantry and community center serving our Suffolk County, NY low income or food insecure neighbors. LILAHH’s mission is to empower and encourage local residents and build a better life for all. The goal is to lend a helping hand to our neighbors by guiding and supporting them as they work to overcome challenges or make ends meet. Their non-profit 501c3 volunteer-led community center provides food, personal care items, other necessities, programs and services to anyone in need.
