For my portfolio, I chose to look into women in sports. I made four color pencil drawings representing women in the sports industry who inspire me. Serena Williams is a tennis player with 23 Grand Slam singles titles, the most of any man or woman. She also has won four Olympic gold medals, along with many more accolades. Maral Javadifar is currently an assistant strength and conditioning coach for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and a former Pace University basketball player. She is one of only four women with full-time team staff positions in the NFL. Nicole Lynn is a sports agent who signed her first client at age 26, making her one of the youngest agents. Nicole is one of the very few females in sports agents who make up only 5% of the industry. Alex Morgan was not only the youngest member of the U.S. women’s national soccer team, first overall pick in the Women’s Professional Soccer draft, Olympic gold medalist, but also a leader in the push for equal pay in sports. Larisa Latynina was an Olympic gymnasts and hold the title of the most decorated female Olympian. She competes from 1954 to 1964 and won 18 metals in the games, nine gold, five silver, and four bronze.
