What happens if I forget to log onto Google Classroom during an allotted time? Can I still prove I finished my work? Will I be able to get the day to count even if I don't follow the appropriate steps for a given day?
Teachers and principals have been directed to report students "absent" only if there is clear evidence that students are not participating in online instruction. If you are unable to be online at the determined time, please contact your teachers and make arrangements for the work to be completed. We are here to make this work for all of you.
I see there is a requirement to not participate in gatherings over 50 people and recommendations for limiting groups to less than 10. If I need help can I still go to Copeland? Can we still access support at Copeland if the Governor closes schools?
We are complying with all state and national guidelines, and as they change, we will respond to them. As such, we are committed to supporting our families with Tech Support. Please see below for the ways in which you can contact Tech Support.
How are we holding Annual Reviews, Initial Planning, or other CST meetings?
Families will receive an invitation to attend a conference call, with or without video, in lieu of a face-to-face meeting.
How will we complete testing?
At this point, we need to suspend testing due to State and National Public Health Guidelines. We will work with families to schedule or resume testing as soon as we are allowed to do so.
How do we handle signed consent forms when we have meetings over the video or conference call?
The District will document that we have received verbal consent and send the forms home for signature when we return to school.
Will General Education teachers be at the IEP Meetings?
Yes, we will invite them to the video/phone conferences as well.
