Class Rules and Consequences
Our class rules mirror the school rules:
- Problem Solve
- Always Care
- Work Hard
- Show Respect
As a class, we brainstormed what that meant in our own classroom.
Problem Solve:
- If two people are fighting, listen to what they each have to say.
- Talk it out.
- Try a problem solving technique like rock, paper, scissors.
- Use all sorts of resources to answer questions.
Always Care:
- Help everyone in need.
- Help others out when they are hurt.
- Cheer up friends, but also strangers.
- Speak kindly to others.
- If someone doesn't know how to do something, help them out.
- Make sure everyone has someone to work with if they would like.
Work Hard:
- Stay on task.
- Never give up.
- Take your time and do your best.
- Always check your work.
- Focus on your work instead of talking to others.
- Do your own work.
- Finish your work before you do a choice activity.
Show Respect:
- Take care of the class and everything in it.
- Listen when other people are talking/wait your turn to talk.
- Don't interrupt others.
- Include others.
- Treat others how you want to be treated.
- Problem Solve, Always Care, and Work Hard
