Safety Supports for Families of Elopers
Therapeutic Horseback Riding & Adaptive Swimming Lessons
Fun, therapeutic activities that build confidence and safety skills:
🐴 Horseback Riding: Builds balance, motor skills, and emotional regulation. It can also reduce violent behaviors by calming the nervous system and providing structured sensory input. Riding improves focus and self-control, which lowers the risk of elopement.
🏊 Swimming Lessons: Provide lifesaving water safety skills for children and adults at risk of elopement, while also building strength, confidence, and social connection.
💜 Scholarships available for horseback riding, swimming, safety equipment, and respite care and class.
