Linda’s Love Letter to Our Rockin’ Families
Hello and welcome,
My name is Linda, and I’m not just the founder of Rockin’ The Spectrum—I’m a mom to a beautiful daughter with severe autism. She is now an adult, nonverbal, and requires care around the clock. Like so many of you, I’ve lived through the long nights, the difficult behaviors, and the overwhelming feeling of being alone in a world that didn’t seem to have a place for families like ours.
For years, we searched for support. We tried every avenue, hoping to find somewhere that understood our struggles and respected our journey. But what we needed didn’t exist—so we decided to build it.
In July 2019, we opened Rockin’ The Spectrum, a nonprofit built by a family who understands what it means to live with autism and special needs, day in and day out. We don’t turn away behaviors. We don’t judge. And we never forget that behind every diagnosis is a person—and a family—doing their very best.
We treat our families, our staff, and our participants with the same respect and care we want for our own. Our programs were born from lived experience—shaped by years of working in classrooms, supporting IEPs, building a private special needs school in Florida, and partnering with districts that had no idea how to help “kids like ours.”
What we’ve created here is more than a program. It’s a community, a safe place, and a promise:
You are not alone.
You are seen.
And you belong here.
Thank you for letting us be part of your story.
With love and understanding,
Linda Lynn

Day Program for Ages 18 and Older
At Rockin The Spectrum, our Day Program is thoughtfully designed for individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities who are 18 years and older. We understand that the transition into adulthood can come with challenges—and we’re here to help make that transition meaningful, empowering, and inclusive.
Our program focuses on building life skills, social development, and personal growth in a supportive, structured, and fun environment. Each participant is met where they are, and together, we create individualized plans that reflect their strengths, interests, and goals.
Participants engage in a variety of enriching activities.
We believe that everyone deserves the chance to thrive, connect, and feel a sense of purpose. That’s why we keep our spaces limited—so each person receives the care, attention, and encouragement they deserve.

Meet Melissa
Rockin mom and a board member.
a mom of three (22, 14 and 13) and my youngest is non verbal autistic with behaviors. I grew up in Germany and have been in the US since 2010. I was a teacher for special needs before moving so I really enjoy volunteering as an teacher at Rockin The Spectrum's adult day program. I joined the board because I want to help changing our children's life's no matter what age they are. I'm very grateful that I met them in 2022 and am looking forward what we can archive together.
Meet Beatrice
Rockin Board Member and a Rockin Mom!
Founder of Empowered Heroes Inclusive Therapy
After years in the corporate world, I followed my heart and stepped into my true calling; creating empowering space for collaborative and integrated therapies for neurodiverse children, teens, young adults and their families. As a proud mother to a neurodiverse son, my journey became deeply personal when my son experienced regression. That moment became a powerful turning point, igniting my mission to ensure no family ever feels invisible or unheard.
I'm dedicated to helping families find their voice, embrace their child’s unique strengths, and build upon those strengths to increase independence and self advocacy. This is not just a career; it’s a passion fueled by purpose, love, and the belief that every child deserves to thrive.
