Instructional Technology for RCPS Secondary Teachers

What is an ITRT?

In Rockingham County Public Schools, we have fourteen Instructional Technology Resource Teachers, who are former classroom teachers that now specialize in bringing and enhancing technology into your classrooms.

We work in building-level teams to help teachers and students with all of their instructional technology needs.  When it comes to lesson design, ITRTs offer suggestions for digital tools and strategies to leverage a teacher's instructional goals and to help personalize learning for students. We also offer our insights into STEM tools and how they can be integrated into any content area (not just the maths and sciences!). Once the lesson is ready for students, ITRTs gladly support teachers as they implement these technology tools and strategies in the classroom.

Our goal is to share our knowledge and passion for technology with teachers and students, so our RCPS community feels more comfortable navigating and excelling in a digital world. We want to help our community feel "future-ready" in and out of the classroom.
