In order to enroll in the program a student must be:
Enrolled in a public school
At least 16 years old
One year behind in credits compared to their 9th grade cohorts.
Have a 7.5 grade reading level
The program is made up of three parts, the student must complete to finish the program:
1. GED Tests (Made up of 4 separate tests: Reasoning through Language Arts, Science, Math, and Social Studies)
2. Economics and Personal Finance Course
3. Career and Technical Education component
After you speak with your student's principal or guidance counselor, the ISAEP instructor from RA will contact you to discuss the program.
1. Your student will take the GED Ready Tests and the reading assessment.
2. A meeting with the parent and student at Rockingham Academy (this is a required meeting before enrollment), to discuss the student plan and exceptions of enrollment in the program.
