About Mrs. Allen

Mrs. Allen is a passionate educator and longtime resident of Porterville, having moved to the area in 1976 when her parents who were in the United States Air Force relocated to Springville. She has been teaching at Rockford for the past seven years. Her primary role is serving as the 7th and 8th Grade Language Arts teacher. However, she has taken on countless other assignments including serving as the Drama Teacher, Advisor for the Leadership/Student Council and managing the local Spelling Bee.

As a graduate of Porterville High School, Mrs. Allen knows the importance of a quality education. Since then, she has obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Social Science and Master's Degree in Educational Leadership. She also holds a Single Subject Credential in English.

When Mrs. Allen is not in the physical or virtual classroom she loves to spend time with her family and take frequent trips to the beach. She is an avid reader with a love for mystery novels, and collector of classic films. Mrs. Allen and her husband have been married for 36 years. She has two adult children and one fur child; her son Cory who works in government & public affairs, her daughter Amanda who serves as Captain in the United States Air Force and their beloved rescue dog named Cyrano.
