Rockford Middle Bands

Bio

Finn Herrmann is the director of bands for grades 5-7 at Rockford Middle School and teaches a Music Appreciation course at the 5th and 6th grade level. In addition to these classes, he is the conductor for the middle school jazz band and assistant director for the summer marching band at Rockford Schools. With a background in trumpet and piano, Mr. Herrmann student taught band in grades 4-12 across Quincy Public Schools in Quincy, Massachusetts and received his undergraduate degree from Boston University in 2025. After graduating, Mr. Herrmann spent the 2025-2026 school year working as a substitute teacher in music classrooms across Columbus, Ohio.
