Euro HL is a survey of European history. The course begins with an overview of prehistory through the Middle Ages, followed by an intense investigation and analysis of the making of modern Europe.
Students enrolling in this course should be prepared for a challenging schedule and workload. Regular reading of 20+ pages a week is required. A great deal of academic writing is expected from students enrolled in this course.
This course is designed not only to familiarize students with the history of Europe, but also, and perhaps more importantly, to equip students with the essential skills that are necessary for success in their college coursework.
