Course Description:
Economics is a course that provides an introduction to the basic principles of micro and macroeconomics as well as opportunities to learn and practice skills in personal finance. Students will investigate such topics as supply and demand, markets, inflation, fiscal and monetary policy, the Federal Reserve, international trade, taxation and competition. Additionally, students will learn some basic personal finance skills including investing, paying taxes and bills along with using credit wisely. This course is aligned with the Minnesota Academic Standards in Economics.Â
