Hi there! I'm Ms. Probst, and I'm excited to be your child's first grade teacher this year!
I discovered my passion for teaching young learners over a decade ago. After growing up in Champlin, Minnesota and earning my teaching degree from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire in 2014, I began my journey with kindergarteners in Texas. Minnesota's charm brought me back home, and I've been happily teaching at REAMS ever since. To become an even better teacher for your little ones, I earned my master's degree from St. Mary's University of Minnesota in 2021.
In my classroom, we use a hands-on, multisensory approach to all subjects, especially math and reading. Your child will explore numbers through manipulatives, engage with stories through drama and art, and discover the world through all their senses. It's amazing to see how this approach lights up their curiosity and helps them grasp new concepts!
This is my 12th year teaching, and first grade continues to be my happy place. We'll be exploring, creating, and learning together in ways that are both fun and effective. To keep you in the loop, I'll send a class email every Friday afternoon with upcoming information and a summary of the learning objectives we've covered that week.
I'm looking forward to partnering with you to make this an incredible year of growth and discovery for your child!
