First Grade Information

Welcome to first grade! It's an exciting year full of growth and new adventures. Here's what you can expect:

Daily Learning:

• Phonics: Fun activities to explore words and sounds

• Reading: DAILY 5 groups for various reading skills

• Math: Group lessons and hands-on practice

• Writing: Developing storytelling and handwriting skills

Science Fun:

• Life cycles (butterflies and frogs)

• Animal habitats (including polar animals)

• Holidays around the world

• Chromebooks for learning games

• Interactive ActivBoard for engaging lessons

Get ready for a year of independence, learning, and lots of fun! We'll work together, in small groups, and independently to grow our skills. No more "rest time" – we're too busy exploring!
