wind ensemble

Wind Ensemble-Grades 10, 11, 12

Wind Ensemble is an auditioned ensemble made up of students in grades 10-12 that wish to continue their studies on a wind or percussion instrument.  Wind Ensemble performs literature up to grade 5.  Wind Ensemble performs three main concerts per year.   Wind Ensemble also performs for Homecoming, Memorial Day, Graduation, and pep band performances throughout the fall and winter sports season.  Wind Ensemble students also have the opportunity to perform at solo/ensemble contests, large group contests, and participate in our jazz program.  Wind Ensemble students can also participate in the summer marching program and may audition for the marching flag team in the spring.  Wind Ensemble goes on tour every other year to various destinations across the country.  A yearly band manual is provided for all students which covers the details of Wind Ensemble.  Wind Ensemble is considered a year-long class with students expected to commit to the course for the entire school year.
