Welcome to Mrs. Wilson's Crew
We will be using a clip chart for discipline this year. Below is an explanation of what the clip chart means so you will know what each color means for your child’s behavior.
Purple = Star Student Students who reach the purple level will be rewarded for their positive choices (see possible rewards below).
Pink = Whaley Good Students who continue to make positive choices move up to the pink level. They are one step closer to having outstanding classroom behavior!
Aqua = Fin-tastic Students who make positive choices will receive recognition as they move up the chart.
GREEN = Ready to Dive Everyone starts the day “Ready to Dive”. Students can “clip up” or “clip down” depending on their behavior choices.
YELLOW = Slow Down Students who receive a warning will move to yellow. This serves as a reminder to students to think about the choices they make.
ORANGE = Crabby Students who continue to make poor choices will move to orange. This will result in a consequence that is appropriate for the choice that was made. Different choices require different consequences. Children are different so the consequence will depend on the child and the choices made (see possible consequences below).
RED = Shark Bite Students who move to red will require parental contact by me. Parents will be contacted by telephone, email, or Dojo message depending on the severity of the behavioral choice.

Each day your child’s conduct will be marked on a behavior sheet in their binder. If there is a continued pattern of negative behavior, I will call for a conference with you so we can discuss any issues and solve the problem together. I look forward to establishing the best possible learning environment for your child. With teamwork and cooperation among parents, teachers, and students, we will have a terrific year! I will be in close contact with you regarding your child’s progress in the classroom this year and appreciate your support. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact me at awilson3@rock.k12.nc.us or 336-445-1999.
