Volume City
Students in fifth grade worked to design a city of their own. They had to have roads with a minimum area of 80 square units, a park with a minimum perimeter of 18 unit, and as many buildings as possible.

Fifth grade has been studying finding the volume of rectangular prisms. Students built rectangular prisms with given dimensions and then found the volume.

Fourth grade students did a graffiti walk to show all the ways to represent numbers. They presented their ideas to each other.

Using critical thinking skills to get the fox, grain, and chicken across the river. Students are learning that a productive struggle is important to push yourself and grow.
Mystery at the Mall
Students solved logic puzzles to find out who stole the cookie!
Tessellations
Students got to know each other by finding ways they were similar and unique from one another. Students put their hexagons together to create tessellations. We learned where we see tessellations in everyday life.
