Are you an engineer who wants to do more than just follow a process? Do you want to build one? At RoBoa, we are looking for a motivated Technical Operations Engineer to become the architect of our global supply chain and internal production.
This role is the "connecting link" of our company. You will bridge the gap between international suppliers, our in-house production, and R&D. We need a problem-solver who is eager to dive into new materials, optimize production, and build a digital backbone that keeps everything running. You will work closely with the team to turn innovative ideas into a scalable reality.
At RoBoa, you’ll grow with the company and take on real responsibility from day one. You’ll gain deep insights into building robotics systems that solve meaningful challenges in industrial infrastructure. If you’re looking for variety, ownership, and a team where your work makes a difference, this is for you!
As an ideal candidate, you will be highly motivated, eager to work on a challenging deep-tech topic with real-world impact, capable of working autonomously and in small teams, and have a strong desire to build new processes.
Your Responsibilities
Global Supplier Engineering: You are the technical counterpart to our international partners. You don't just manage orders; you evaluate suppliers, support them technically, and consult them on how to implement new, innovative ideas and process improvements.
In-house Production & Machine Optimization: You take charge of our internal manufacturing. This includes managing production schedules, fine-tuning machine settings, and developing innovative technical improvements for our production equipment to increase efficiency and quality.
Product Development (Robot Textile): You lead the technical refinement of the specialized materials used for our robots. While prior textile knowledge is a plus, it is not a requirement. You have an engineering mindset to master this field. Experience in polymers is an advantage.
ERP & Digital Infrastructure: You build and manage a smart ERP system that serves as the heart of our operations. You’ll track everything from raw material and ongoing production to customer deliveries and R&D samples, ensuring full data transparency.
Hands-on Prototyping & Testing: You love to see things work. You will prototype, test, and perform root-cause analysis on samples to recognize patterns and drive innovation.
Team, Growth: You will work as an integral part of a small, highly motivated team. This position offers the unique opportunity to grow both personally and professionally alongside RoBoa. You will take on high levels of ownership from day one, with the clear prospect of advancing into a leadership role as our team and operations continue to expand.
Your Profile
Engineering DNA: You hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
Ownership Mindset: You are a motivated self-starter who is excited about building a supply chain and production environment from the ground up.
Fast Learner: You have the ability to quickly grasp complex technical topics (like textile structures or polymer chemistry) and apply them practically.
Hands-on & Organized: You enjoy the mix of "admin/organization" (ERP, scheduling) and "workshop” (testing, machine-tuning, prototyping).
Team Player: You are a communicative person who enjoys working in a team and wants to achieve great things together. You believe in the bigger picture!
Willingness to Travel: You are open to occasional international travel to visit and support our partners on-site.
Communication: Fluent in English (written and spoken); German is a very strong plus.
